Smbmount broken

Description

The program smbmount is broken in Unifix Linux 2.0.

Effect

Smbmount conclaims "Cannot open /lib/modules/2.0.18/smbfs.o". Even if the module is loaded, it asks for the password but fails afterwards with the message "mount error: Invalid argument".

Fix

Replace smbmount and smbumount. Get the patch http://www.unifix.de/support/patches/patch-2.0.0.3.cpio , and run (as root) swinstall -s patch-2.0.0.3.cpio .

Workaround

Use the smbclient command to read files from SMB servers.
